Ricardo J. Sanchez, economist graduated from the University of Salvador, Argentina, 1983, MSc  University of Paris X Nanterre and University Carlos III, Madrid, Spain.

Ricardo is an internationally recognized expert in maritime economics, with special focus in the region of Latin America and the Caribbean. He has worked either professional or academically in 29 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as Europe and Asia. He holds more than 170 publications.

Currently, he is working as Regional Expert on Ports and Infrastructure at UN-ECLAC, specially focused on topics such as ports, maritime and logistics issues, infrastructure services, and physical integration.
